Happy New Year NCC !!
The last of our family have returned to their homes, the decorations are coming down and plans are coming together for our NCC’s spring production. I hope all your R.A.T. stripes were blue, and that you have had memorable times with friends, family and loved ones these past weeks!
With anticipated spikes in infections through mid-January, I have decided that the beginning of our spring season should tentatively be held off until the fourth week in January (1/25). Of course, we will monitor infection trends and heed the wisdom of the Vermont Health Dept. before returning in full force.
I have selected Dan Forrest’s “Requiem For The Living”, a work we did about 6 years ago and was well received by audience and singers. I was fortunate to secure 70 copies from a Michigan college and I know copies are available on Amazon for those who wish to purchase their own copy. We will augment the program with shorter octavos and may recruit my select high school singers to join us. Performance weekend would be April 29, 30, May 1.
Here’s the recording I have enjoyed the most if you wish to listen:
I was so pleased that we were able to sing in December and hope that the time will come, in the not too distant future, when we can sing without masks.
My best to all of you,
