We all share a love of music and of the experience of singing in a large group, That feeling can be hard to describe to someone who has never experienced it. We like to learn, to be challenged, and to savor the familiar. We enjoy working toward a common goal. We like finding the sweet sections of notes, the powerful buildup of passion hidden throughout the music. Our audiences can experience that same feeling when they are surrounded by the energy and heart of the singers.
Some of our singers share, below, why they sing in this group:
There is so much joy in singing!
I struggle really hard to learn the music. When it all comes together, it is a high beyond belief.
Classical composers have created music that is over-the-moon wonderful. As singers, we get to be right in the middle of it. We are together using our brains, ears, lungs and vocal chords, transforming little black dots on a page back into thrilling music. How amazing. How fun. What a gift.
Singing gives me energy and uplifts my spirit.
Music is not contentious, so relaxing, needed in life in many ways. But get it right!
While food fills my body, Music fills my soul. Singing with a group unifies us, each part individually makes us whole
